Dancing Queen & the Wolfpack’s quest for glory

The NSLC talent show is not a competition. But who are we kidding? The Wolfpack is going to win.

The talent show, which takes place tonight, has been a source of both laughter and stress for the group. After deciding that a group dance would be the best way to show off the signiture Wolfpack style, the students went about selecting their music. The selection process showcased the team’s ability to come together and agree on pop songs through the decades. From “Dancing Queen” by ABBA, to the recent hit “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen, and from “Oops!…I Did It Again” by Brittany Spears, to the classic oldieĀ “Build Me Up Buttercup” by The Foundations, the groups choices reflect a wide array of music tastes and dancing talents.

Next came the choreography: the silly, bizaare and graceful. The students brainstormed (and laughed) their way through the multitude of songs squeezed in the four-minute mix. Most notably, T.A. Ryan was ananomously elected to be the star of “Dancing Queen.” The three boys in the group will also be featured in solos: John portraying Brittany Spears, Kevin dancing to NSYNC, and Josh giving his take on “Build me Up Buttercup.”

With a bit of practice and a lot of heart, no doubt the Wolfpack will be able to dominate the talent show.
